Love Languages - Deployment Style!

Has anyone heard of this thing called "The 5 Love Languages?". I have and although I usually dismiss anything with religious undertones as honkey I wanted to give it a try. I didn't want to give them my hard earned ca$h so I chose the free online version (http://www.5lovelanguages.com/). I wasn't surprised with my results. What can I say, I know what I want and like! :)

It was a tie between Quality Time and Physical Touch.

Quality Time: "In the vernacular of Quality Time, nothing says, “I love you,” like full, undivided attention. Being there for this type of person is critical, but really being there—with the TV off, fork and knife down, and all chores and tasks on standby—makes your significant other feel truly special and loved. Distractions, postponed dates, or the failure to listen can be especially hurtful."

Obviously not being fufilled with this little roadblock called a deloyment. I enjoy spending time with D. Plain and simple. Not too hard, right? Hah! That's the hardest one with the life we have chosen. It goes hand in hand with:

Physical Touch: "This language isn’t all about the bedroom. A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, holding hands, and thoughtful touches on the arm, shoulder, or face—they can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive."

What I would give for a hug or holding hands. A lot, is what I would give!

I had to be the two that are impossible to fill a lot of the time. Great! Thanks to the 5 Love Languages for letting me realize why this deployment is awful. You stink!

As Vicki from the Real Housewives of OC (love, love, love that pointless drama filled show!) would say: "My love tank is empty". I need some quality time and physical touch to fill it back up... what do you say, Army? I'm that important, right? I did take the test as proof!

If only! :)
