Dusting off the cobwebs

Hello Blogger world... is anyone out there? I figured with my ample spare time I could dust off the cobwebs on this space and give it the love and attention it deserves. You like? I'm not usually a fan of yellow, but it fit. I'm sure it will change and grow as I hopefully make it my own.

One of the many things that I learned in my overpriced excellent education was to always state your purpose and mission. I shall put that to good use here since I have never used it in the past two years since graduation (see! Well worth it!)

This blog will be a place where I can go to share my story. While my story will more than likely be boring it will be (hopefully) at least a little entertaining. I have learned a lot about myself and experienced a lot in the past few years and my goal is to make sense of all of this. Find a purpose. There has to be one... right?

I am starting at a difficult point in my life. I am a 23 year old female. Married to my high school sweetheart. No children - just a dog we treat as a child. Live in Washington state and am employed as an Operations Assistant at the Fisher House. I spend my free time watching trashy reality TV shows, scrapbooking, and reading.

It seems simple enough, right? Where is this 'difficulty' I speak of?

Well, you'll be sorry you asked.

I am a 23 year old female (what 23 year old has their life even a little bit figured out). Married to my high school sweetheart (2 of the 3 years we have been married have been spent apart due to the needs of the Army. Try building a solid foundation while thousands of miles apart). No children - just a dog we treat as a child (love the dog. Children? Still on the fence about that one. How do you even begin to make that decision?). Live in Washington state (far away from the home I knew for 21 years) and am employed as an Operations Assistant at the FH (faced with the realities of what can go wrong in life every single day). I spend my free time watching trashy reality TV shows, scrapbooking, and reading (since I am alone and lonely 90% of the time - thanks to the needs of the Army).

And that's just the beginning. I'm sure much more will be discussed on each of these topics as I begin to open up to the blogger world.

Excited yet?
